Before Eighteen: The Missing Conversations in Our Communities for Our Young People, is about just that; the conversations that we generally do not have in our communities as a collective. The aim of this book is to expose our young Black men and women, to topics that may not come up extensively in their households or schools. The aim is to prepare our young people for adulthood Before Eighteen. This book is about highlighting the importance of, and learning about financial literacy, stocks, credit, ownership, entrepreneurship, health & wellness, education, happiness, knowledge of self, being proud young Black men and women, and much more. We all have the opportunity to learn from those that came before us. The blueprints have already been printed. This book is just one of them. And lastly, this conversation doesn’t start and end with our youth. We all can join in on these conversations, no matter the age, and learn something from this talk that we may not have had much exposure to.
